I just want to know what’s going on with my family and all of this contamination.”"The Martin family is among millions of Americans in similar circumstances – forced by their meager wages to live near industrial areas, including aging smokestacks, landfills, locomotives and other potential hazards. Yet because government officials make little attempt to dig deep into toxic exposure in ordinary people, it is impossible to know if they are unique or part of a much larger potential problem in hundreds of neighborhoods across the nation."(source: http://californiawatch.org/health-and-welfare/living-industry-s-shadow-after-years-illnesses-family-looks-answers-13328) Image by simonsun08 via Flickr

She said the Department of Pesticide Regulation leaves it up to local agricultural districts to weigh the pros and cons of using the chemical, a process that effectively serves as a no-project alternative.Despite Roesch’s focus on the regulatory process, science did make its way into the courtroom.
