Democracy means simply the bludgeoning of the people by the people for the people.

  1. I wonder how Mr. Wilde would define today’s political circus?

    • I thought (for an instant)that he might be a contemporary (just joking). It clearly struck me the true eternal nature of the abjection of lie! All you need is to define P_E_O_P_L_E!

      • These days, there are ‘the people’, and ‘the politicians’.
For the most part, I’d say the people are sheep and the politicians are traitorous scums of the Earth (except for Ron Paul and a handful of others). Too bad, people in America don’t realize that we were set up to be a Republic, nor do most of them know the difference between a Republic and a Democracy. They also seem to forget we are a Sovereign Nation, which may not be true for much longer, in the direction we’re headed.
