Quotation: Thomas Hardy (1840-1928) on war and peace, and war on peace

My argument is that War makes rattling good history; but Peace is poor reading.

  2. Thanks for your attendance. A good week.Greeting, Wolfgang

  3. I took an English Novel course one summer. Had to read 8 novels in eight weeks plus discuss and papers etc. Hated the course. lol Hardy was on the reading list.

Later on when I could read at leisure, he became one of my favorite authors. He is probably right about the war. Peace is dull.
