Today (poetic thought by George-B)

The weather was rigid  today,

remnant of  monastic life perpetrated

in hollowed spaces in chalk stone,

now smoked by the candles consumed by flames for:

– A dead leaf, I avoided stepping on,

– A fallen pine branch, soon forests of evergreen are to be cut,

and sold, and bought, and decorated,

– A spider web, water repelling but sticky to skins,  spread wide ,

like a Beverly   Hills all important mansion – people moving in-moving out, perpetually.

It’s sunny now, half the day through…

It’s sunny now,  at my place now!

  1. Rigid, it was. Perfect description!

  2. You avoided stepping on a dead leaf….
That just made me think of my morning walks. This fall there seems to be more little acorny like things falling from the trees than other years. They all all over and in the streets too. When I walk I step on each one to hear them pop and crunch. lol Just like a kid.
