Salt may give food a great taste, but in recent years, it has become increasingly evident that moderation is key when it comes to sodium consumption. Its links to stroke, cardiovascular disease, hypertension, and numerous other diseases are well established, and researchers are still discovering new ways that excess sodium intake negatively impacts health.
