Qoutation: Gilbert Chesterton on – men on levels of good and evil (I have some thoughts of my own on this one)
Men may keep a sort of level of good, but no man has ever been able to keep on one level of evil.

This Day in the Yesteryear: “WHO SHOT PHIL?” EPISODE OF EASTENDERS AIRS (2001)
“Who Shot Phil?” Episode of EastEnders Airs (2001)
After five weeks of speculation and frenzied betting, Phil Mitchell‘s would-be assassin was finally revealed in a much-hyped episode ofEastEnders, one of the longest running and most popular soap operas in the UK. Nearly 20 million people tuned in to watch the culmination of the “Who shot Phil?” storyline, causing the UK’s third-largest power surge on record until that time. What major sporting event was postponed to accommodate the special episode’s extended running time? More… Discuss

Today’s Birthday: LOUIS SPOHR, “THE FORGOTTEN MASTER” (1784) composer and violonist
Louis Spohr, “The Forgotten Master” (1784)
A highly respected German composer and violinist in the 19th century, Spohr has been largely neglected since then. After touring Europe, he became kapellmeister—leader of the orchestra—in Kassel, Germany, in 1822 and remained there for the rest of his life, eventually directing all of the city’s music. Highly prolific, he wrote 15 violin concertos, nine symphonies, and many operas. Sometimes considered “forgotten,” Spohr is said to have been as famous as which of his contemporaries? More… Discuss

CHOLESTEROL – LOWERING DROPS COULD BE KEY TO SAVING SIGHT
Cholesterol-Lowering Drops Could Be Key to Saving Sight
Macular degeneration is one of the leading causes of blindness in people over 60, but it may not be for much longer. Preliminary research suggests that cholesterol-lowering eye drops could prevent the disease’s progression and save the sight of those afflicted. In older adults, it appears that macrophages, immune cells that protect the body by ingesting foreign particles and infectious microorganisms, fail to effectively expel cholesterol. In the eye, this can lead to the creation of new blood vessels, causing rapid and pronounced vision loss. Preventing the buildup of lipids in the first place could potentially halt this process.More… Discuss

‘US labels OWS and opposition forces as terrorist’
Family Survival Protocol - Microcosm News
Published on Apr 4, 2013
An American activist says the US is branding the Occupy Wall Street movement as a domestic terrorism threat just as it has always labeled all anti-regime opposition movements and figures in the country as terrorists. The comment comes as new documents show that the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spied on peaceful Occupy Wall Street (OWS) protesters during the height of the anti-capitalist movement in the country. The documents released by the Partnership for Civil Justice Fund (PCJF) on Tuesday revealed that the DHS routinely spied on peaceful First Amendment activities and required daily briefing on the extent of media attention being given to OWS activities. The PCJF obtained the 252 pages of documents under a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) filing with the DHS, the sprawling Federal agency ostensibly created to combat terrorism after the September 11 attacks.

Songwriters: Lennon, John
Send “Imagine” Ringtone to your Cell
Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today…
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace…
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world…
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one

Beatles- Let It Be

When I find myself in times of trouble, Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree
There will be an answer, let it be
For though they may be parted, there is still a chance that they will see
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be
And when the night is cloudy there is still a light that shines on me
Shine until tomorrow, let it be
I wake up to the sound of music, Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, yeah, let it be
There will be an answer, let it be
Let it be, let it be, let it be, yeah, let it be
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be

Remember this speech: March 6, 2013, Sen. Rand Paul Senate Filibuster – HOUR 1 (“DICTATORSHIP: OPENING THE DOOR TO ABUSE IS ABUSE ITSELF!)
Dictatorship: “Opening the door to abuse is abuse itself!”
Randal Howard “Rand” Paul (born January 7, 1963) is the junior United States Senator for Kentucky. He is a member of the Republican Party. A member of the Tea Party movement, he describes himself as a “constitutional conservative”[2] and a libertarian.[3] He is the son of former Congressman Ron Paul of Texas, who ran for president in 1988 as a libertarian, and in 2008 and 2012 as a Republican. He first received national attention in 2008 when making political speeches on behalf of his father and is the first United States Senator to serve simultaneously with a parent in the United States House of Representatives.
A graduate of the Duke University School of Medicine, Paul has been a practicing ophthalmologist in Bowling Green, Kentucky, since 1993, and established his own clinic in December 2007. In 1994, he founded Kentucky Taxpayers United, of which he is still the chairman.[4]
In 2010, Paul ran as the Republican candidate for the United States Senate seat being vacated by retiring Senator Jim Bunning of Kentucky, beating Kentucky Secretary of State Trey Grayson in the primary. Despite the fact that he had never previously held political office, he defeated Kentucky Attorney General Jack Conway. As a supporter of the Tea Party movement, he has been vocal in advocating for term limits, a balanced budget amendment, and the Read the Bills Act, in addition to the widespread reduction of federal spending and taxation. He has gained prominence for his independent positions on many political issues, often clashing with both Republicans and Democrats.[5]

GEORGES BRASSENS – LA MAUVAISE HERBE + LYRICS
Georges Brassens, 1954.
LA MAUVAISE HERBE
Quand le jour de gloire est arrivé,
Comme tous les autres étaient crevés,
Moi seul connus le déshonneur
De ne pas être mort au champ d’honneur.
Je suis de la mauvaise herbe,
Braves gens, braves gens,
C’est pas moi qu’on rumine
Et c’est pas moi qu’on met en gerbe…
La mort faucha les autres
Braves gens, braves gens,
Et me fit grâce à moi,
C’est immoral et c’est comme ça!
La la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la
Et je me demande
Pourquoi, Bon Dieu,
Ça vous dérange
Que je vive un peu…
Et je me demande
Pourquoi, Bon Dieu,
Braves gens, braves gens,
C’est pas moi qu’on rumine
Et c’est pas moi qu’on met en gerbe…
Elle se vend aux autres,
Braves gens, braves gens,
Elle se donne à moi,
C’est immoral et c’est comme ça!
La la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la
Et je me demande
Pourquoi, Bon Dieu,
Ça vous dérange
Qu’on m’aime un peu…
Et je me demande
Pourquoi, Bon Dieu,
Braves gens, braves gens,
C’est pas moi qu’on rumine
Et c’est pas moi qu’on met en gerbe…
Je suis de la mauvaise herbe,
Braves gens, braves gens,
Je pousse en liberté
Dans les jardins mal fréquentés!
La la la la la la la la
La la la la la la la la
Et je me demande
Pourquoi, Bon Dieu,
Ça vous dérange
Que je vive un peu…
Et je me demande
Pourquoi, Bon Dieu,
Ça vous dérange
Que je vive un peu…

Meet Hammie, a 1-year-old bulldog who lives in Lincoln, Neb. He’s here to tell you that he loves kittens, and there’s nothin’ you can do about it.
Last October, Hammie’s owner, Michelle Parden, took in a pregnant stray cat named Mommy. Parden, 34, had seen Mommy on Facebook after her friend, Gayla Hausman, posted a picture of the orange cat online. Hausman is the director at Voice for Companion Animals, a nonprofit that provides resources like pet food for low income individuals, Parden told The Huffington Post.
Parden happily took Mommy in, and on Halloween, the cat gave birth to six kittens — Pumpkin, Goblin, Frankenstein, Batman, Zombie and Elvira. Because Mommy was so skinny and had eye and respiratory infections, some of the births had complications. But Parden told HuffPost all six kittens and Mommy…

Johnny Cash – Like A Bird On A Wire [1994] (SEND “BIRD ON THE WIRE” RINGTONE TO YOUR CELL)
Like a bird on the wire
Like a drunk in a midnight choir
I have tried in my way to be free
Like a drunk in a midnight choir
I have tried in my way to be free
Like a worm on a hook
Like a knight from some old fashioned book
I have saved all my ribbons for thee
If I, if I have been unkind
I hope that you can just let it go by
If I, if I have been untrue
I hope you know it was never to you
Oh, like a baby, stillborn
Like a beast with his horn
I have torn everyone who reached out for me
[ From: http://www.elyrics.net%5D
But I swear by this song
And by all that I have done wrong
I will make it all up to thee
I saw a beggar leaning on his wooden crutch
He said to me, “You must not ask for so much”
And a pretty woman leaning in her darkened door
She cried to me, “Hey, why not ask for more?”
Oh, like a bird on the wire
Like a drunk in a midnight choir
I have tried in my way to be free

Leonard Cohen Ballad Of The Absent Mare With Lyrics Send “Ballad Of The Absent Mare” (Ringtone to your Cell)
Songwriters: COHEN, LEONARD
Say a prayer for the cowboy
His mare’s run away
And he’ll walk til he finds her
His darling, his stray
But the river‘s in flood
And the roads are awash
And the bridges break up
In the panic of loss. And there’s nothing to follow
There’s nowhere to go
She’s gone like the summer
Gone like the snow
And the crickets are breaking
His heart with their song
As the day caves in
And the night is all wrong Did he dream, was it she
Who went galloping past
And bent down the fern
Broke open the grass
And printed the mud with
The iron and the gold
That he nailed to her feet
When he was the lord
His mare’s run away
And he’ll walk til he finds her
His darling, his stray
But the river‘s in flood
And the roads are awash
And the bridges break up
In the panic of loss. And there’s nothing to follow
There’s nowhere to go
She’s gone like the summer
Gone like the snow
And the crickets are breaking
His heart with their song
As the day caves in
And the night is all wrong Did he dream, was it she
Who went galloping past
And bent down the fern
Broke open the grass
And printed the mud with
The iron and the gold
That he nailed to her feet
When he was the lord
And although she goes grazing
A minute away
He tracks her all night
He tracks her all day
Oh blind to her presence
Except to compare
His injury here
With her punishment there
Then at home on a branch
In the highest tree
A songbird sings out
So suddenly
Ah the sun is warm
And the soft winds ride
On the willow trees
By the river side
Oh the world is sweet
The world is wide
And she’s there where
The light and the darkness divide
And the steam’s coming off her
She’s huge and she’s shy
And she steps on the moon
When she paws at the sky
And she comes to his hand
But she’s not really tame
She longs to be lost
He longs for the same
And she’ll bolt and she’ll plunge
Through the first open pass
To roll and to feed
In the sweet mountain grass
Or she’ll make a break
For the high plateau
Where there’s nothing above
And there’s nothing below
And it’s time for the burden
It’s time for the whip
Will she walk through the flame
Can he shoot from the hip
So he binds himself
To the galloping mare
And she binds herself
To the rider there
And there is no space
But there’s left and right
And there is no time
But there’s day and night
And he leans on her neck
And he whispers low
“whither thou goest
I will go”
And they turn as one
And they head for the plain
No need for the whip
Ah, no need for the rein
Now the clasp of this union
Who fastens it tight?
Who snaps it asunder
The very next night
Some say the rider
Some say the mare
Or that love’s like the smoke
Beyond all repair
But my darling says
“leonard, just let it go by
That old silhouette
On the great western sky”
So I pick out a tune
And they move right along
And they’re gone like the smoke
And they’re gone like this song
