John Lennon: Imagine (This goes to all John Lennon’s admirer and friends!)

Songwriters: Lennon, John

Send “Imagine” Ringtone to your Cell
Imagine there’s no heaven

It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today…

Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world…

You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one

  1. Timeless and forever poignant…every now and then I rewatch the Imagine movie.

    • So do I…you know there is always some sort of music playing in my imagination…I don’t know what I would do without that. I like to listen to Jango (I made a widget for it on the sidebar) I also like Planet rock UK (where rock lives). I got (finally) an Android, and I downloade 2 GB of music, and video from Jango, youtube: I play it all the time!

  3. I remember the last day I heard this song on the radio when my favorite station at the time, as one of the newest not very pleased, acquired properties of Clear Channel Communications, announced it would be rhe last time rhey weee allowed ro play it. They had just received the corporate headquarters memo banning all stations from playing this song, in support of GWB’s gulf war.

Now you may say I’m dellusional as it’s being played regularly again, but I haven’t turned on my radio since, because of the highly likely possibility of stumbling upon one of their mutitudes of still very unhappy to propertied un-independent, stations.

It is so good to know that other people value the same ideas and enjoy the same artistic currents as I do.

Just did a blog with the same song, it never gets old. The meaning rings true.
    Thank you for sharing.
Little by little we know more about each other.
