Regina Spektor – Long brown hair
Published on Apr 12, 2012
regina spektor – Long Brown Hair (Live)
Recorded: 15th October 2004, Housing Works
Lyrics:
She had long brown hair
All down her breast
Made me think about my future
Made me think about my past
She was so pretty
As pretty as can be
And I thought:
“My god, why shouldn’t it be me?”
Her skin was tight, her manner was free
She gave me that look that seemed to say:
“Hey you, look at me!”
Her smile was crooked and good
As she sucked her Capri
And I thought:
“My god, why shouldn’t it be me?”
C’mon, c’mon, c’mon, c’mon god
Why shouldn’t it be me?
Her body was free!
Don’t tell me what’s proper
Anyone can see
I wasn’t even her first, so don’t blame it on me
She was so pretty, as pretty as can be
And I thought:
“My god, why shouldn’t it be me?”
Oh c’mon, just this once, lord!
Why shouldn’t it be me?
Her body was free!
You know what the bible says?
I’ll tell you what it says
It says:
“Don’t put a stumbling block in front of someone who can’t see
Don’t put a beautiful body in front of someone who’s hungry,”
She was so pretty
As pretty as can be
And I thought:
“My god, why shouldn’t it be me?”
C’mon lord, why shouldn’t it be me?

Upgrade your cellphone lens for superb shooting!
Indeed, it’s worth it!
Now that some of my readers have twisted my arm and have me firmly on the cellphone bandwagon, I may as well tell you about something unique that can make your simple old cellphone camera lens work as good as that on proper professional quality digital slr cameras.
You see, the lens that’s fitted to all cellphone cameras is a simple affair, designed to give good all-round performance rather than provide high level parameters in niche areas, such as macro, telephoto etc. Rather like the difference between a Ford designed for road use and another Ford designed for Formula 1…both are Fords, but the difference is staggering!

Agenda for America
When they finally woke up they were in the middle of the ocean, without food or water supplies, and with no hope for reaching any land!
The GOP Agenda for America is known in Washington by its acronym, CRAP.
“C” is for the cut, cap and balance amendment to the US Constitution that the GOP favor,
“R” is for the repeal of Obamacare and much regulation.
“A” is for the austerity they want to impose; the sequester is only a small prelude to the full program of budget cuts.
“P” is for punishment of the American people for voting Democratic; it will continue until the GOP return to power.

Quotation: Ralph Waldo Emerson on man, receiving gifts and resentment thereof
It is not the office of a man to receive gifts … We wish to be self-sustained. We do not quite forgive a giver. The hand that feeds us is in some danger of being bitten.

Today’s Birthday: HERBERT SPENCER (1820) an victorian thinker sociologist and philosopher
Herbert Spencer (1820)
Admired by some and loathed by others, Spencer was one of the most discussed Victorian thinkers. An English sociologist and philosopher, he was an advocate of the theory of social Darwinism. In his vast, multi-volumeSystem of Synthetic Philosophy, he held that the physical, organic, and social realms are interconnected and develop according to identical evolutionary principles. To describe his theory of sociocultural evolution, he coined what well-known phrase? More… Discuss

This Day in the Yesteryear: DISGRUNTLED ENGINEER JAMS HBO’S SATELLITE SIGNAL (1986)
Disgruntled Engineer Jams HBO’s Satellite Signal (1986)
In the early morning hours of April 27, 1986, a Florida electronics store owner moonlighting as a satellite uplink technician decided to protest what he considered unfair programming subscription rates for satellite dish owners. Overriding the signal of the cable network HBO, he transmitted a message to be seen by anyone watching HBO at the time. “Captain Midnight,” as he called himself, was eventually fined $5,000 for the stunt. What did he elect to say in those few minutes of airtime? More… Discuss
THE DOCTORS’ PLOT
The Doctors’ Plot
In January 1953, a plot to murder leading Soviet government and party officials was “uncovered.” Nine prominent doctors, at least six of them Jews, were arrested and confessed their involvement. The reports sparked an upwelling of anti-Semitism in the USSR. Months later, news broke that the charges were false and that the confessions had been obtained by torture. Who alleged that Stalin, whose death in March brought down the scheme, had planned to use the scandal to launch a massive party purge? More… Discuss
