Kidney Beans Key to Combating Bedbug Scourge

Much to the dismay of people around the globe, bedbugpopulations are booming and existing pesticides are of little help. Thus, it is becoming increasingly important to find alternative means for eliminating the tiny bloodsuckers. One such method under investigation is bean leaf entrapment. Kidney bean leaves, which have microscopic hooked hairs that pierce bedbugs’ feet and trap them, are traditionally used in the Balkans to combat bedbug infestation.
