La Brea pits are still there…and so are the mastodons. Methane bubbles at a measured pace, somehow like the Ol’ Faithful….Around the entire area, under the asphalted and cemented square miles of city blocks, activity, captioned, measured, monitored, so the disasters from the past….remain in the past: the uncapped, oil wells, horizontal drilling, accumulation of methane rendering the air a explosive gaseous mix.. But forget not history, as history forgotten is repeating itself….Vigilance, keep the past in memory!
