A very Special Musical Treat: Concierto de Aranjuez – John Williams, BBC Proms 2005

The 111th Proms season sails triumphantly off into the sunset as Walton, Lambert and Korngold complete the nautical theme for this year’s Last Night celebrations. Sir Henry Wood‘s Sea-Songs are performed, in their centenary year, with their original bugle calls restored; illustrious counter-tenor Andreas Scholl sings Handel and Purcell, and John Williams performs Rodrigo‘s celebrated concerto. During the interval, a taste of the Proms in the Park festivities around the country.
