At least 34 people have been killed in the southern and midwestern US in two consecutive days of ferocious tornado outbreaks. Twisters cut through at least half a dozen states, flattening homes and businesses in their paths. The storm outbreak began on Sunday, on the three-year anniversary of a historic US tornado outbreak that claimed more than 250 lives in Alabama.
