  2. True, but to what degree it remains at the whims of society I guess depends on the structure of that society, and whether they’re operating on a gold/silver standard or not? Awesome book dealing with money as an entertaining plot point: Making Money by Sir Terry Pratchett.

    • very simple: all new created vzlue in society is social, because it is imposible to create in a vacuum and alone. Even if you are the idea, or the money behind a dollar, unless it is materialized, it remains just that: an unmaterialized idea, or an ideal. It is irresponsible to not realize this simple and complex socio-economical postulate, and by not recognizing it one is no more or no less an socialized or a sociopath, That is why we’re in such a trouble: we failed to realized the social value of the $, fearing the connotation (way to make it a taboo!, and to allow the privatization of a social value, the $
