For the fifth year in a row, US News & World Report has named the DASH diet the best overall diet. DASH—which stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension—is a diet high in fruits, vegetables, and low-fat dairy products; low in saturated and total fat; low in cholesterol; and high in fiber.
