St. Cecilia’s Day

According to her apocryphal acts, which date from the fifth century, St. Cecilia was a Roman from a noble family who was put to death for her Christian beliefs; how she became the patron saint of music and musicians is not exactly known. In 1683, a musical society was formed in London especially for the celebration of St. Cecilia’s Day. It held a festival each year at which a special ode was sung. The poet John Dryden composed his “A Song for St. Cecilia’s Day” in 1687 for this purpose. There are still many choirs and musical societies that bear her name today. How to Disable Cortana After Windows 10 Creators Update

Whether your using a Windows 10 Home or Windows 10 Pro version you can still completely disable Cortana.

There is two methods one is using the registry and the other is using group policy editor.

How to Disable Cortana After Windows 10 Creators Update version 1703

How to disable Cortana on Windows 10 Home
This needs the Windows Registry Editor. I suggest taking a backup of your computer before you continue, or create a restore point.

In search box type regedit, and open it.
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Windows Search
Right-click the Windows directory, and choose New \ Key. Type in Windows Search, and hit enter.
Select Windows Search. In the right-hand side pane, right-click in the empty area and choose New \ DWORD (32bit) Value.(even if your computer is 64bit) Next type AllowCortana, and hit enter.
Double-click AllowCortana, and type in 0 under Value Data. Reboot your computer system to take affect.

How to disable Cortana on Windows 10 Pro

Press the Start key, search for gpedit.msc and open Edit group policy.
Navigate to Computer Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Windows Components \ Search.
Find Allow Cortana, and double-click to open it.
Click Disabled, and then hit OK.
