I got my first real six-string
Bought it at the five-and-dime
Played it ’til my fingers bled
Was the summer of sixty-nine

Me and some guys from school
Had a band and we tried real hard
Jimmy quit, Jody got married
I should’ve known we’d never get far
Oh, when I look back now
That summer seemed to last forever
And if I had the choice
Yeah, I’d always wanna be there
Those were the best days of my life
Ain’t no use in complainin’
When you’ve got a job to do
Spent my evenings down at the drive-in
And that’s when I met you, yeah
Standin’ on your mama’s porch
You told me that you’d wait forever
Oh, and when you held my hand
I knew that it was now or never
Those were the best days of my life
Oh, yeah
Back in the summer of sixty-nine, oh
Man, we were killin’ time, we were young and restless
We needed to unwind
I guess nothin’ can last forever, forever, no
Yeah
And now the times are changin’
Look at everything that’s come and gone
Sometimes when I play that old six-string
I think about you, wonder what went wrong
Standin’ on your mama’s porch
You told me that it’d last forever
Oh, and when you held my hand
I knew that it was now or never
Those were the best days of my life
Oh, yeah
Back in the summer of sixty-nine, oh
It was the summer of sixty-nine, oh, yeah
Me and my baby in sixty-nine, oh
It was the summer, the summer, the summer of sixty-nine, yeah

I took my love, I took it down
Climbed a mountain and I turned around
And I saw my reflection in the snow covered hills
‘Til the landslide brought me down

Oh, mirror in the sky, what is love?
Can the child within my heart rise above?
Can I sail through the changin’ ocean tides?
Can I handle the seasons of my life?
Mmm
Well, I’ve been ‘fraid of changin’
‘Cause I’ve built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I’m gettin’ older, too
Well, I’ve been ‘fraid of changin’
‘Cause I’ve built my life around you
But time makes you bolder
Even children get older
And I’m gettin’ older, too
I’m gettin’ older, too
Ah, take my love, take it down
Oh, climb a mountain and turn around
And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well, the landslide will bring it down
And if you see my reflection in the snow covered hills
Well, the landslide will bring it down
Oh, the landslide will bring it down

Today’s Holiday: Kent State Memorial Day

Today’s Holiday:
Kent State Memorial Day

When students at Kent State University in Ohio decided to hold a rally to protest the incursion of U.S. military forces into Cambodia during the Vietnam War, the Ohio National Guard started firing indiscriminately at the crowd. Four Kent State students were killed and nine were wounded; the eight guardsmen involved in the tragic incident were never tried. A candlelight vigil takes place at the Kent State campus every year on May 4, the anniversary of the 1970 shootings. It begins at midnight on May 3 and lasts for the next 12 hours. This Day in History:
The May Fourth Movement (1919)

The May Fourth Movement was the first mass movement in modern Chinese history. It began with about 5,000 university students in Beijing protesting the Versailles Conference’s decision to transfer former German concessions in China to Japan. Demonstrations and strikes spread, and a nationwide boycott of Japanese goods followed. The movement began a patriotic outburst of new urban intellectuals against foreign imperialists and warlords and is often cited as the seminal event that led to what? Article of the Day: The Revenge of the Forty-Seven Ronin

Article of the Day:
The Revenge of the Forty-Seven Ronin

The Forty-seven Ronin were a group of Japanese samurai who, in 1703, assassinated Lord Kira, the official responsible for the disgrace and consequent seppuku—ritual suicide—of their master, Lord Asano. Though the ronin had followed the precepts of bushido—the samurai code of conduct—by avenging their lord’s death, their actions defied shogunate authority, and they were therefore ordered to commit seppuku. Today, they are regarded as heroes. Why was one of the ronin pardoned? More…: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tfd.mobile.TfdSearch

Another thoght of mine: This time on homosexuality!

My thoughts on homosexuality, and our universsl church thinking that it would be…okay, to legitimate it even by the church’s previous stand that homosexuality is a crime toward GOD and THE “MOTHER” CHURCH, AND SOCIETY AT LARGE :

This comment does not reflect my Catholicism, but rather the feelings I hold dear toward our human nature and, especially, human fate.

I always felt interested in women and I would be thoroghly disapointed if this natural instinct, and feelings, would be officially threstened by the system we trust to lead us into the future, not our future into the ditch…but then: I was born and lived half of my entire life in a human-a human clearing- in which homosexuality was ILLEGAL, A MORTAL SIN, AND THEREFORE SANCTIONED WHENEVER, WHEREVER, WAS ENCOUNTERED… and for a good reason, I have to add: homosexuality was considered as the result of an act of forceful induction upon an inocent, usually a child, by an usually, much older human, totally screwing up their behavior for the rest of one’s life, therefore a violation of one’s most basic human right, the act of having trust in another human, usually, being entrusted the happiness of an inocent child.
I think that instead of…picking up the soap, while in a public bathroom, the church should fight the crusade of the musulmanism burning our churches and slaughtering our Christian brothers and sisters, persecutted from Islamabad to Cairo, and threatening our western way of life, here, in our homes, in Europe, America, Asia, and everywhere else! Now, that will be a fighy worth battling, throughout the entire world against the tyranic way of life perpetrated upon our fellowman and especially women, in all, without exception allahist world!
But who said that prists can be herroes, with the exception of those who the church decided to raise into sainthood, while cowardly, hiding from the human law the priests condemned by their fellowmen to have been violating the countless souls of innocent children by being homosexual toward them, by showing them the worst among us, human with character (“euzicasa”: translated means- “this is my take on this”):
