  1. Thanks for the reply, I have been thinking about grafting as well. I planted one Peachtree from seed 4 years ago and it is growing well bearing fruit last year. I could use that tree for grafts.

  2. I am contemplating cutting down a Peach Tree, the debate has been going on for a number of years. The fruit is not edible, not even to the furry wild ones except for the wild tree Rats. They eat them from the ground or the tree, these animals are more like Squirrels than Rats. All of the critters drink from the water bucket I have filled in the garden but they won’t touch the Peaches from that tree. I hesitate to cut it down because of the Rats, just because they are not looked upon as desirable animals they still have value. Just because I am able to remove it, that doesn’t mean I should.
