Energy Consumption in US Homes Falls to Lowest Level in a Over Decade

We live in the age of the gadget; we are more plugged in than ever before. Yet, home electricity use in the US has been steadily dropping for the past three years thanks to the development and increased affordability of energy-efficient housing, appliances, and devices. Last year, energy consumption levels fell to 10,819 kilowatt-hours per household, the lowest level since 2001.
