Jackson 5: I Want You Back

This song came into my mind, when I woke up this morning and It brought with it…Memories; Happy memories. There are songs like that you know, you may not recall a word, you may not have followed the group, the band, the singer like a true fan would…You may have listened to that song on the bus, in your car, at a party, at the mall, and who knows how many other places, and then silence from it. Until one sound, or no sound at all, makes you hear it coming alive inside the music box ( I like to call that my heads, when it’s not a library, cause there is one of those too somewhere in there). I hope you remember it too, and that bunch of good memories will go with it while you’re listening.

What talent in Michael Jackson, and his bunch!
Thanks for listening and remember to live life in real-time, as it unfolds, as everything else is mementos, like in  “Memento homo,
quia pulvis es, et in pulverem reverteris.”

More about the song, and its life:

“I Want You Back” was released in 1969 and in early 1970 became a number-one hit single recorded by The Jackson 5 for the Motown label. The song, along with a b-side cover of Smokey Robinson & the Miracles‘ “Who’s Lovin’ You“, was the only single from the first Jackson 5 album, Diana Ross Presents the Jackson 5. It went to number one on the soul singles chart for four weeks and held the number-one position on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart for the week ending January 31, 1970.
