Nana Mouskouri performing “Aranjuez Mon Amour (Sur Le Thème Du 2Eme Mouvement Du Concierto De J. Rodrigo)”.
Concerto de Aranjuez” was originally composed for guitar and orchestra in 1939 by 20th century Spanish classical composer Joaquin Rodrigo (1901-1999) , who championed the use of the classical guitar in performance. The alluring combination of guitar and English horn has helped make the adagio movement one of the most popular pieces of modern classical music; the piece has often been adapted and arranged for various other instruments or for the human voice, as in this video.
