Fragment of Earhart’s Plane Possibly Found

The mystery of Amelia Earhart’s disappearance may be a mystery no longer. A team researching the fate of the daring American aviatrix who vanished during a 1937 attempt to circumnavigate the globe now says that a slab of aluminum found on an uninhabited Pacific island in 1991 came from her aircraft. Many are skeptical about the claim, as there are no identifying markings on the sheet of metal and it does not appear to have been a standard part of the type of plane she was piloting.
