Sponsored by the Fillmore Merchants Association in San Francisco, California, the Fillmore Jazz Festival is the largest free jazz festival in the western United States. The festival comprises two full days and nights of musical entertainment on three stages, held on the weekend closest to Independence Day. In addition to offering performances of standards from the 20th-century golden age of jazz, the lineup features local and national acts offering funk, fusion, salsa, Afro-rhythms, and R&B. Oh, iarăși San Francisco – orașul meu preferat! Cu ani în urmă am fost la Festivalul de jazz în apropiere, la San Jose. Este ceva impresionant, în aer liber, în Piața „Chavez” a concertat, în ultimul său an de viață, Dave Brubeck. A fost poate ultimul concert, alături de cei patru fii ai săi, la diferite instrumente. Și el – la pian.

Da, Sa Francisco edte un oraş foarte frumos. L-am vizitat de 5 ori, şi am petrecut ore frumoase conducând mașina pe podul binecunoscut, la Presidio, Warf Fish Market, the Museum of technology şi multe alte obiective de neegalat!
