First Womb Transplant Baby
Last month, a woman in Sweden gave birth to the world’s first child born via a transplanted womb. The 36-year-old first-time mother had been born without a uterus and received a donor womb from a 61-year-old, postmenopausal friend. A year after the transplant, doctors implanted an embryo, resulting in a successful pregnancy.
