WHO SAYS DIESEL EXHAUST DEFINITELY CAUSES CANCER

The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) has concluded that exhaust from diesel engines is definitely a cause oflung cancer in humans. The IARC, which is part of the World Health Organization, had previously labeled diesel exhaust fumes as “probably carcinogenic.” The new label is based on research on workers in high-risk occupations, such as truck driving and mining.
