This silence talks loudly of
more of the silent past
and of foretold deafening silences
to come.

It’s cold, silence is, and comforting
to the ears it left with a sigh
describing the sound
when it used to exist.

Blind follower of silence open the eyes
of the one next to you to the voided sound…
Now ask yourself: “Was it worth it?”
