We Can’t Stop LOL-ing About The “Poop Button” That Solves All Constipation Problems

But, real talk, it totally works.

There’s nothing that can make your day crappier (I’m done, I swear) than feeling bloated. But thanks to the practice of acupressure and one mommy blogger, we now have discovered something you can do to get things moving right now while sitting at your desk—and we don’t mean pop a few laxativesor start chugging your iced latte.

Ladies, allow us to introduce you to your new best friend: the poopbutton, a.k.a. the spot on your stomach located three finger-widths directly below your navel.

According to acupressure experts, this magical location—also known as Conception Vessel 6 or the “Sea of Energy”—is the motherboard for many parts of your body, including your digestive system, sex organs, and even your colon. Though it sounds a bit ridiculous, it turns out the poop button is a real remedy in the acupressure world used to solve all sorts of problems like period cramps, stomach aches, and, of course, constipation.

So, how do we activate the so-called magical “poop button”? It’s easy. All it takes is firmly applying pressure to this spot with your fingers for about a minute while focusing on taking deep breaths. Keep applying pressure until…well, let’s just say you’ll know when it’s working.

Don’t let your skepticism (or giggles) get in the way of trying it the next time you’re feeling backed up. Just, when you do, make sure you’re within 50 feet of the nearest bathroom. Consider yourself warned.
