this pressed for your right to know: Pelosi claims not to know ‘stupid voter’ ObamaCare architect she cited
House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of Calif. speaks to reporters, Thursday, Nov. 13, 2014, on Capitol Hill in Washington. (AP)
Nancy Pelosi claimed Thursday she didn’t know who ObamaCare architect Jonathan Gruber is, after several tapes surfaced showing him gloating about how the law was written to take advantage of the stupidity of the American voter.
Problem is, Gruber’s analysis of the law was cited extensively by her office back in 2009.
Pelosi, the House Democratic leader, tried to downplay Gruber’s role during a press conference on Thursday.

today’s holiday/Feast of Saint: Feast of St. Frances Cabrini
Feast of St. Frances Cabrini
The first American citizen to be proclaimed a saint of the Roman Catholic Church, Francesca Xavier Cabrini (1850-1917) was born in Italy. She founded the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart in 1880 and went on to establish orphanages, schools, and hospitals in many American cities, as well as in Europe and South America. She was canonized on July 7, 1946. Her feast day is commemorated in many places, but particularly at Mother Cabrini High School in New York City, in whose chapel she is buried, and at every establishment of the Missionary Sisters of the Sacred Heart. quotation: Sun Tzu ( in other words: “a battle won does win a war”, or something like that!)
Thus it is that in war the victorious strategist only seeks battle after the victory has been won, whereas he who is destined to defeat first fights and afterwards looks for victory.

Ronald DeFeo, Jr., Murders Family in Amityville, New York (1974)
After the DeFeo family was discovered murdered in their beds, Ronald DeFeo, Jr.—the family’s only surviving member—was placed under police protection. DeFeo initially told investigators that he believed the murders were a mob hit, but he soon confessed and was convicted of murdering his parents and four siblings. A number of controversies surround the case, especially regarding the possible involvement of DeFeo’s sister Dawn. What best-selling novel and series of films did these events inspire? More… Discuss
For your Health: Children Mistake Laundry Pods for Toys or Candy
Children Mistake Laundry Pods for Toys or Candy
Brightly colored detergent pods containing concentrated laundry soap have sent more than 700 children in the US to the hospital in the two years since the pods became widely available there, and poison control centers have fielded thousands of calls from worried parents and caregivers whose charges have been exposed to or ingested the contents of these packets. Some manufacturers have already altered their packaging to make the pods safer for children, and this seems to have had some positive effect, but it is still advisable to store such products out of the sight and reach of youngsters. Military Camouflage
Military Camouflage
Though today nearly all combat uniforms and military vehicles are designed with camouflage in mind, this was not always the case. Men once marched into battle in bright, eye-grabbing uniforms, but as more accurate firearms were developed, camouflage became increasingly important. It was greatly developed during World War I, and though radar use diminished its utility, conflicts like the guerrilla campaigns of the Vietnam War again made it important. What is dazzle camouflage?
